AP TET Likely to Be Postponed for 1 Month – Check Reason

As per latest information it is known that AP TET Likely to Be Postponed for 1 Month on the request of B.Ed, D.Ed and Language Pandits requests. The Educational Ministry is going to postpone Andhra Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (APTET) for 30 days due to the number of requests received from 2016-18 academic year batch B.Ed, D.Ed and LPT students.

Already we know that The School Educational Department has already a basic schedule to handle TET from 21st Feb to 3rd March, 2018. On this the department sent dates for approval from government. On this till no decision has made yet. Many students are requesting Govt to postpone AP TET examination for 1 month. So that they can have enough time for preparation.

On their request AP Educational Minister Sri Ganta Srinivasa Rao is considering it as the students and the candidates are demanding that they have a month-long time to prepare for it. On exam postponement on 26th Jan (Friday) he made a review with committee and Subsequent examination dates will be announced soon.

In the month of Feb and March there are Intermediate and 10th Class examinations and without effecting these examinations new dates to be announced soon. AP TET Likely to Be Postponed

AP TET is the state level examination. Candidates qualifying this examination will get teacher posts in various Government/ aided/ private schools across the state. AP TET Paper 1 is for aspirants seeking to become primary school teacher (from class I to V) and Paper 2 is for aspirants seeking to become secondary school teacher (from class VI to VIII). Moreover, the AP government has recently brought first-time Paper 3 for language pandits. In these circumstances, the applicants are requesting to extend the dates of AP TET 2018 exam for preparation.

A total of 4,46,833 candidates have applied for APTET. Among these, 1,80,749 candidates are for SGT (Paper 1), 2,12,794 for School Assistants (Paper 2), 53,290 for Language Pandits (Paper 3). The main reason behind so many changes in the APTET exam date is continuous protests by the students and Board exams. They are scheduled to be held in the month of March, therefore the authorities are planning to conduct TET accordingly.
